Trying To Learn Japanese, Sporadically

cyberpunk_pygmalionSadly, this body / us having various neurodivergancies (dyslexia & ADHD mainly), it's hard to learn new languages (or languages we forgot). But there's a lot of languages we wanna learn for various reasons. But for this post we'll focus on Japanese. ![[youtube.com profile]](https://youtube.com/favicon.ico)
JapaneseAmmowithMisa is a very good resource for various topics in Japanese. And often explains the context & nuance of the word choices. So if you like we did have trouble figuering out where to start. Try to see if any of Misa's videos catch your eye.
A thing you wanna keep in mind is that while you can *try* to learn Japanese via Romanji, it's generally adviced to learn Hiragana & Katakana. If for no other reason then to navigate in Japanese majority spaces (though keep in mind that if we recall correctly, a lot of those still use a mix of those + Kanji). That and it might help you better pronounce the language, since surprise surprise! Diffrent language with diffrent sounds! Though funny thing, dutch vowels are actually pretty similar to Japanese ones, so we have an easier time with those.
A thing we've been doing is write down the words/sentances we're learning in Hiragana, then write it in english as a translation. The plan is to have a Hiragana dictionary at the start of the notebook & refrence that so hopefully the brain will be forced to learn what symbols means which sounds. Though we should likely start practicing vocally too ._.
